Artemia are tiny crustaceans that are found in high salinity bodies of water.   They are an important source of food for the very few animals that can live in these environments.   They are harvest typically once or twice a year and when possible, held and fed a complex mixture of nutrients.   This enriched biomass is a biosecure source of nutrients.
